The more simple a system is , the less likely to fail.
Troubleshooting is also greatly reduced.

As soon as you finished with that panel wash , you should have expected it .
Well done ! Your fans are imitating you.....
2 "fame" points added to your total as well !

(I'm prepared to go 4 points for a rerun of the exploding porto san incident.......).

Yep- one of the things I like about this not-roadtrek.. lol
Less complicated

Well sheeeeit…
All the rain we just had.. exposed a water leak.. over the bed, of course.
Soaked through the mattress, to the storage below and puddled in my tool bag, of course.
Warped the ceiling quite badly..
Pulled it down to find the leak.. and yeah- not reusing it..
.  Thought it was my roof vent, but I am pretty sure it was the original roof rack rail mount screws.. and appears not to be the first time it leaked…. ew
Well, I wanted to improve sound dampening and insulation up there anyway…
I guess this begins the replacement of the ceiling phase of the project.. lol (sigh)

On the plus side, my overhead led bulb replacements work great!

Thus demonstrating the importance of getting the roof waterproof and keeping it that way.
I've had the great displeasure of viewing such destruction on ALL of my rigs ... Arrrrrrrrrrrgh
Keeping a rolling ranch high and dry is an ongoing thing. ..
I'm sure you will be very happy with your increased insulation . May it keep you both cool and warm whatever the weather may be .

Now that gives you a chance to put backing on the solar panel attachments.

RE: Code name “Baby” - rvpopeye - 04-09-2023

That too ! yup yup

RE: Code name “Baby” - GypsyDogs - 04-09-2023

Yep- all part of the plan Big Grin

RE: Code name “Baby” - GypsyDogs - 04-09-2023

Topside victories!
Got rail mounts resealed and solar routed inside (leaving room for 3rd panel- eventually)

And I can accept this voltage from parallel panels on a moderately bright, fully overcast day.

And battery is padded and tied down.
I’ll get the board mounted and the wiring done tomorrow or the next day (once I get all the fripping Dicor off my fingers.. lol)

20.2vDC (no load output of 12volt panels.) They're good !

RE: Code name “Baby” - GypsyDogs - 04-09-2023

As they say- “that will do.”

Nice that the price of these 9bb type of panels are coming down to almost the same as 5bb panels. And they have a slightly higher voltage and efficiency!
