They still sell small rolls at the hardware store: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Hillman-19-Gauge-Galvanized-Steel-Wire/3109493

This is what I actually carry, bailing wire rolls are large.

I worked on a farm for 2 years (in the campground division) and carried a roll in the gator. It's mighty handy I tell ya.
(Now for the real reason for this post..)
I remember a day that the herd decided to bust through the fence and helped themselves to a couple of picnic baskets and cleaned off a table or 2 also before they got rounded up and re did the fence using said roll..you should have seen the look of terror in one lady's face..priceless . "Lady , they're cows not mountain lions " and glad they're not ! Imagine a mountain lion that clocks 1000# ?

Anyhoo , I go hang out at the farm most days for at least an hour or 2. My old right hand from the CG is now in charge of operations there. AND I really hope this info helps with that hose...see ? I didn't go off topic !

since it happened once,it ill happen again

cut a section of the bad hose out long enough to cover the problem area, one cut lengthways, put it on the problem area,it should hold itself in place

So one vote for nothing, one for duct tape, one for bailing wire and one for zip ties.

Huh  Are we in agreement?  Huh

I’m glad it was just rubbing on something rather than gases in the coolant. I had to wrestle with my Chevy van intake manifold for a couple days putting new gaskets in it. Yuk, what a mess. Pressure was building up in the cooling system and popping the lower and upper hose off the radiator. A new radiator cap didn’t fix it so was forced to replace the gaskets. Glad I did as it would not have run much longer. The same hoses are still on it. Ive owned 30-40 old cars and have never had a radiator hose fail. Knock on wood. I ran my van with the radiator cap loose sometimes if I thought pressure was building up. My van runs stronger now. Cleaned the crud out of the intake. Is that possibly a bad O2 sensor making the air fuel mixture too rich? It has loads of power and gets poor fuel mileage.
Come to think of it Ive never seen a cooling system pressure gauge. Thanks
