I DON'T THINK IT'S A WEIGHT ISSUE.I THINK IT'S LARRY, CURLY AND MOE THAT MUST BE HEADING UP THE COFFEE COUNTY ROAD DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTAINENCE CREWS THAT'S THE BIGGEST PROBLEM

Not unless you are about 6 inches tall.
The flex lines connect the solid metal brake lines to the wheels and axels. Those parts move and flex.

You'd need more clothes if you hung 'em on the flex lines !
But then again....you ARE trying to downsize and that might git 'er done !
I'm not saying they ain't gonna dry there but dirtier than ever before.....and MAYBE a bit tattered.

Actually the hose (or flex line if you prefer) connects to the brake caliper or wheel cylinder if you still have drum brakes to the steel lines. A friend of mine bought a pickup recently that a bracket that keeps the steel line and hose from flexing was left off by the previous owner and that caused the steel line and hose was able to flex causing the steel line to crack and when he pushed the brake pedal it hit the floor as he was coming to a red light. Luckily nothing bad happened. Sometimes the steel line attaches to the caliper (like on my friend's Tundra) and other times the hose will be attached to the caliper.

Front brakes have the flex line attached to the caliper. The back brakes have the flex line from the body to the axle housing.

and if anyone has a chevy g van with vacuum boost brakes i have a set of hoses for free,the fronts are new,the rear was on for a couple months

I knew better than to reply, BUT I pointed out I was talking about a Toyota Tundra and it has a short metal line that actually screws into the caliper. Don't believe me, crawl under an 07 Tundra and see for yourself.
