Love your quote on your post (Let me recommend the best medicine in the world, a long journey, at a mild season, through a pleasant country, in easy stages. James Madison. )  I think I'm going to have it made into a decal for my rig.

I bought some Kumho SATKl61 based on its good reviews and being rated #2, but a year later the same  tire was ranked near the bottom amn the tire on top was still on top Firestone destination AT.  Those tires at 6 years of age nearly exploded driving through the desert in August, despite having lots of tread, but were good tires for the 5.5 years previous.

I PUT 4 X FIRESTONE DESTINATION TIRES ON IT 3ys AGO.  I CAN'T FIND THE PAPERWORK RIGHT NOW.  IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY THEY HAVE A 60K WARRANTY.
I'VE PUT ALMOST 14K MILES ON THE SAFAR AND HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE THAN 75 MILES FROM MY APARTMENT.  NOW IMO REALLY SUCKS!  HOWEVER A CHANGE IS GONNA COME Smile
