RE: Code name “Baby” - GypsyDogs - 07-09-2023 Yeah.. all those Insta-Vans that look immaculate are So Fake.. We all know there is dust and things and a bit of disarray.. all part of the RealVanlife.. LOL I had just gotten done doing some sorting, but didn't actually "Clean" for the pic.. charging the fan, don't have anywhere to store my cooking-tote but right there on the floor, haven't figured out how to make the wire storage shelf look 'prettier', and I live with a hairy-beastie.. so y'all get what you get *shrug* RE: Code name “Baby” - rvpopeye - 07-09-2023 The perfect rig is set up just the way YOU like it ! RE: Code name “Baby” - Wayne49 - 07-09-2023 Boondocking reality versus Product Placement. RE: Code name “Baby” - GotSmart - 07-10-2023 I scanned your post, and my mind locked on two things. Wine storage and hairy beastie. Sounds like the potential for a new Disney version of Beauty and the Beast in a van. My only recommendation is to have a small brush and dustpan, and to hit the free vacuum at the mega car wash. Everything will eventually move to where it is meant to be. I had a large rubber mat under my ice chest, with a blanket to make a cool cave for Tigger. Crack the windows, turn on the FF, and you have a spot that will be cool in the worst Texas heat. RE: Code name “Baby” - GypsyDogs - 07-10-2023 Lololol Um.. maybe scan a little slower. “ the wire storage shelf” At least we know where your priorities are.. I have a great whisk/dust pan set, and very regularly brush the dog too. Hard to cool when it is 105 during the day and 85 at night, with 70-95% humidity.. and I have a little fridge, not an ice chest (wouldn’t last a day!) it just never cools off until- hopefully October.. *eyeroll* RE: Code name “Baby” - sternwake - 07-10-2023 Here is SW Flori duh, 94f and 62% humidity, and every dang t storm seems to dissipate or takes a hard left turn before it gets here. Seriously need some rain. The foliage is like WTF!!!!! Some days I can handle the heat, work outside, sweat off 3lbs of weight, other days, like today, I can't even get near the hot but shaded windows that face north, and hide in the coolest part of house on tile floor, 3 fans aimed at me, dreading all that Crap i have to do outside, or in the 98f garage. RE: Code name “Baby” - GypsyDogs - 07-20-2023 Ok- brief moment of panic.. was swapping out the pcv valve.. and it snapped off.. Eek! Thankfully I am both gentle and stubborn.. I eventually got the remainder out of the valve cover.. lol Also- did about a 250 mile roadtrip (nothing fun.. just had to take Hub to Neurologist..) with the AC on.. and some rush hour traffic delays.. van yielded 15mpg. So not too bad. RE: Code name “Baby” - GypsyDogs - 07-22-2023 For those with the way-back machine.. y’all may remember the weird green brocade fabric seat wraps I have used since the days of Miles, the blue van. Well- I am adding grommets at strategic locations so I can use paracord to lace them on. Got one done, and need to get another lack to finish the project.. but it will be much preferable to tying a big gob-knot at the top and readjusting the lower part every couple times I get in/out..
RE: Code name “Baby” - rvpopeye - 07-22-2023 pics plz RE: Code name “Baby” - GypsyDogs - 07-22-2023 Once I get more grommets and get the covers ‘installed’ |
