Took the new Xm pan out of the box yesterday .. was going to measure to know how much more fluid I needed

One corner was Bent beyond salvation…
So back to parts store to do a ‘live-exchange’
New one should be there this morning…

An annoying lack of drain plug on the original pan, a stripped socket, a bit of skin and blood, an attempt to make me an Amazon (low clearance), and part of an afternoon later.. and my shiny new- high capacity transmission pan is installed!

Sigh- I think she be leaking from the stick seal. Mechanic swapped it (messy!) but it began leaking again.. he just used basic black ring.. so- y’all know me….. I got a small kit of the HighTemp and Petroleum/Chem safe rings.. will see if That solves the problem. Lol

Also- back when I swapped out for new tires, saved the Best (2021- lots of tread) and finally got it changed out as my ‘new’ spare. Sadly the continental cover does not fit. Thankfully, it is significantly newer than the spare that was on there..(2001 ! eeek)

You need a helper to ride along and move around the rig to listen for the right spot to investigate.
It could even be under the rig......
