When you hit REPLY the above selections are at the bottom of the page.
The "Do Not Subscribe to this thread" is always marked.
However, when I participate in the thread I DO want to be notified of
responses. In many forums this auto reply automatically occurs when
you respond in the thread.
Also, as it presently is, I do not know if I have to click on a selection
everytime I reply even if I once have clicked on : "Subscribe & receive..."

It wasn't that you weren't making sense! It was that there are a hundred subscription options and once I realized that, I also realized I had no clue which one you were talking about LOL... So... If it automatically occurs in other forums, I'm guessing it can happen here, however, I'm not sure everyone wants to be subscribed to every thread they respond to (well, I mean *I* don't want to be...), so I suspect Gary will have to respond to this one... And, if you subscribe when responding once, you will be subscribed until you unsubscribe, so you don't have to click that selection each time.

i have never used the subscribe option
on the bottom left there is a "subscribe to this thread" it gives you the option of email or pm notification,let me know if that works for you if not i will check out the settings
