RE: Code name “Baby” - GotSmart - 02-21-2023 In another life I helped instal a dump outlet (only) with plumbing running to it by the rear wheel of a van. We were just cleaning up when a volunteer came by looking for people not self contained. Just checking, he said, but you are all compliant. Sometimes I am just so AINT RIGHT! RE: Code name “Baby” - GypsyDogs - 02-22-2023 “Self-contained units are those with a permanently affixed wastewater holding tank of 10-gallon minimum capacity.” Otherwise you need to be, I believe, within 500’ of a vault toilet. Spray contact cement like Scotch 88 or 90 IIRC. Road case building 101. The commercial ones were pricey for a road musician... RE: Code name “Baby” - GypsyDogs - 02-23-2023 Oh so many van-related projects… One stupid little thing is the seatbelt light on the dash stays on.. (apparently the timer widget doesn’t any more.. lol) I will just pull the plug.. maybe on the buzzer too… Really loud and annoying and an issue when combined wall my other ‘issues’. ![]() Also on the same topic.. I need to figure out if I can swap out one of the other seat belt units.. for some STUPID reason the driver’s belt harness is much shorter (higher up) than all the others.. so the edge of the belt cuts into my neck.. sigh Yeah, I put a kitten on it, but that means I deal with a wad of bulk under my chin.. sigh RE: Code name “Baby” - GypsyDogs - 02-23-2023 Seats and carpet come out this weekend- and want to swap the BU cam from EV to Baby.. also salvaged a good handful of 1x6s for my bed frame.. need to wash.. they hav small mildew spota (f-ing tx..). Will also vinegar and bleach and paint.. for good measure RE: Code name “Baby” - GypsyDogs - 02-24-2023 Bummer- the front belts are different from the rear ones.. Seat belt pad got a hair cut.. (real sheepskin, so fairly easy..) Taking rear seats out this weekend, and dismounting the BU cam and maybe installing it in this van. And, if I have time, pulling out the carpet… RE: Code name “Baby” - shadowmoss - 02-24-2023 Go! Go! RE: Code name “Baby” - GypsyDogs - 02-25-2023 Oh- and the Bluetti power bank that randomly failed on the AZ trip.. well, I contacted Bluetti and, regardless of being past warranty period, they requested I return it for replacement. .. so glad they stand behind their products! RE: Code name “Baby” - rvpopeye - 02-25-2023 Sweet ! Post a quick Bluetti review in the ...??? Generators forum when ya get a chance. I see those referred to as solar generators . RE: Code name “Baby” - GypsyDogs - 02-25-2023 Also, while pulling seats out, I took time to truly appreciate just how Clean she is on the underside |
