I'd hold out for a custom observation platform with a water bowl , heater , massage and a cat scented mirror hanger ?

Seat does not block the view much at all.
I need to remove the inside arm- it blocks the console.
And/or look for a different, slightly smaller seat that may clear the console all together.

Ok— been a few drives now. It Does work.. but I am going to look for a different seat that fits the 14x11 bolt pattern. One less bulky, that may fit past the console better.. need to grab a tape measure and a wrench and go hit the u-pick parts yard.
Possibly Dakota, Durango, some Jeeps, etc.. need to get eyes on first

What I ended up doing was having an offset plate mounted on the bottom of the passenger seat.
I can’t find the files of that part of my project. But I did find one of my copilot.

Yeah, my seat is not on the dash like that.. which is a problem. The back frame hits the console. And the arm blocks one of the cubbies from opening. Also puts a dog head near the sideview mirror.. so there’s that too- lol

I used one of the old captains chairs from the back. The slightly different size made a difference. Cheap at junk yards.
I had to set it in place while I figured exactly where to mount it. I had to have it reclined just right to swivel A bullseye mirror mounted right could solve the head problem. (Or teach her to duck!)
I got a flat plate mounted on the seat bolts and when I figured out where the seat had to be placed I drilled holes for the seat base. The guys at the metal shop did not charge much to cur a square plate and punch 8 holes for me. It has been 10 years so I don’t have my build sheets anymore.

My convo is different than yours.. all seats identical big stuffy captains seats- no swivel. And, of course the pedestals are different at the floor.. I going to take a closer look at the spare in the shed and see how the glide rails attach to the actual seat itself.. I may be able to use a seat from a different vehicle.. maybe. If the rails will mount.

Yeah.. well.. that would be nice.. but unless I get Super Lucky and find one in the JY, that’s not gonna happen. The decent roadworthy ones are $pendy!
Just measured the frame attachment. 13.5 oc square So all I need to do is find any somewhat narrower, sturdy seat/seats.
