Greetings All,
Just discovered this forum...
I'm Handy_Dan, a former mobile handyman for 30+ years, turned online entreprenuer when the internet came around.
I've been living comfortably on wheels since the early 1960's. At the age of 73, I still live on wheels, support myself, and receive no government assistance of any kind. Never have, and never plan to. No plans to quit any time soon.
I still travel the USA, and spend a lot of time doing volunteer work. I am mostly a city camper, and always have been, because it's cheaper and easier than boondocking, and I find no value in being alone in the middle of nowhere.
I'm currently living in a low top 1977 Dodge Maxi Van (window van), but have lived in many different types of rigs, and even boats. My current van cost $700, with 250k miles on it's 318 engine and automatic transmission. My conversion cost about $300 to make it fully self contained and foul weather friendly. It is now approaching 500k trouble free miles.
I'm an old school, no bs, all weather camper that believes in living in my rig, not out of it. I've worked and lived in Alaska, and other frigid area winters, and hotter than hell summers, and I don't believe in traveling with the good weather. The best opportunties were frequently where the worst weather was, and I followed the opportunities with no regrets.
That's just about my life's story, hopefully with my experience I can contribute some helpful hints. Not sure how often I'll be around, but I'm looking forward to it.

Your entering message here sounds like your a stand up guy that can take some bullshit as well as dish it out.. But being a long time traveler myself I'm looking forward to your point of view and opinion on topics and discussions. Whether I agree with them or not. I get the feeling you're the type of person that tell it like it is whether people like it not. And that's a good thing. Welcome !! David
