Busy dogsitting for the daughter right now,but as soon as that's over we are heading up to the yoo pee, then over into Wisconsin.Replaced the differential bearings  and locked up AC compressor on the van so I'm About set to move out.I want to be back home late part of Sept or early Oct.Anybody else heading out for the summer?

We’re staying put for the summer, going to play at the pool and enjoy our short summer.

Will you miss out on black fly season??

I’m heading out in about a month, leaving Arizona and heading to the Sierras near Yosemite for a month or more. Then off to the redwoods for a while.

I would rather be anywhere but here. My rental house has possums or raccoons in the attic. Stink...

You can make friends with those raccoons. The opossums are a bit more sketchy.

Back when I lived in the house and fed the night critters on the porch I found I could sneak out there and pet the possums if I was very careful. As soon as they started smiling at me I’d quit.

With the raccoons I could open the door and they wouldn’t run even though I was a few feet from them. They didn’t want me to cross the threshold however.

Now that I’m in the RV and feeding out in the yard I think I could easily sit out there and most of the raccoons wouldn’t run. I open my window and they come running towards me hoping to get a peanut or marshmallow.[Image: 9b43aa5147efd7c6cf63f4c23b651907.jpg]

I took this a few days ago outside my window. He has a marshmallow

so you are quietly trying to kill them with sugar right? HA HA HA
just kidding!!!!!

cute pic!

we fed the squirrels at our house as kids til they started hanging on the screen door trying to get in and mom freaked. TIME TO STOP feeding the wildlife! Smile

Our last racoon trouble was at a state park where the bugger opened the cooler, ate all the shrimp and squid used for surf fishing and left tails and junk everywhere to stink....not fun cleaning up that mess all around the rv!

then we learned fast. we bungee cord every cooler that doesn't have a lock type on it! duh

and the other coon, in our tent one night we hear....rustling...sucker was in the screen tent stealing our entire loaf of bread off the table and dragged it under the screen and off he went. Found the bag tore up the next day, not a crumb in site but at least he left me the garbage to clean up Smile

Wife and I were elk hunting in the Little Belt mtns in Mt a few years back when the wife woke up to a packrat sitting on her chest. She yelled and the rat jumped to the screen door and hung there a minute. Then he made his fatal mistake. He ran to the living area where the dogs were.Sometimes in bed at night I touch her lightly on the chest to test her reflexes.
