Yeah the word is Opportunity:
Miriam Webster’s FIRST definition:
“a favorable juncture of circumstances eg: the halt provided an opportunity for rest and refreshment”
There are no guarantees in life. Perseverance is what means you make it even when some opportunities fall thru.
Talking about luck is just a way of rejecting responsibility— everyone has lucky opportunities, everyone has unlucky circumstances they have to deal with.
So long as we don’t slip into full communism, there will be plenty of opportunities to pursue.
