I've always had the assumption life was never meant to be easy. In nature, it's a constant kill or be killed struggle for survival. As humans it basically still is, except we've more or less replaced the work of finding food and shelter for survival with working for money to instead buy that same food and shelter for survival. We've just traded one for the other but the basic needs of survival haven't changed.
In nature there are the strong ones, the weak ones, the sick ones, etc. None of that has changed for us humans, so the ability to work for money for food and shelter is affected by those traits just as those same traits affect animals in the wild in regards to their ability to provide themselves with the same.
Is anyone owed anything from others that they can not provide for themselves? That is an answer I do not know, but if you look to nature for your answer the answer is no. That being said I help others whenever I can whether it be shoveling out an elderly neighbor or helping someone catch up on some bills.
In my own personal life I've experienced a little bit of everything, I've owned businesses, houses, boats, cars, and i've been bankrupt and almost homeless. I've been the definition of healthy and i've been so sick I couldn't get out of bed for five years and couldn't walk across a room with out crutches. The one thing i've learned from all this is if you never give up you'll likely make it through. Perseverance is a powerful tool and as humans probably the most powerful one we have. It can get you through mental, physical, and financial obstacles. And when it's the end it's the end, nature always wins.
Those are my outta the box views on life anyways.
