Much of what you say rings true. What a boring world this would be if everyone was in agreement or was not allowed their opinion. And today's world is "live" there's no shortage of opinions.
I find some forums and forum topics mindnumbingly boring and usually just avoid the rehash knowing where it leads. On the other hand I welcome a debate about a new take on boilerplate solutions.
Certainly if I have a jealousy it's not being able to live long enough to experience tomorrow's technology and the discussion of how it could make life even more interesting. The who and where that comes from won't ever happen without debate and free thought.
Gary provides a soapbox and it has very few strings. I'm good.
