if you look at the very bottom right you can change the themes,it says basic right now

Didn't know that, thanks. I changed mine back to Forest and that fixed the banner part, but the entire thread is still a bright white background. This is my first time using it at night time and it's a kind of like a flashlight in the eyeballs. Just FYI and for consideration as you tweak the site.
