Potential propane stove danger to be aware of

One can see the beginnings of melted plastic next to the hole.  this is where a ~ 2.5 inch orange flame was coming out of when I was boiling some water.  

If there was tons of light I would not have noticed the odd orange glow lighting up my floor, but the Whumpfh of it igniting would have still clued me in.

   

   

Not sure I'll actually go yell at Stansport or not.  these things used to be coleman/century and sub 15$  and last for a decade, now they are double that $$, and built like crap.

What a surprise.
