Today’s progress..
Biggered the bolt holes, and cleaned the metal.
How? You ask? Well, used a bit of copper scrubber, a large flat head screwdriver, and some brake cleaner..
screw-scrubbed and shined. Then spritzed with rusty metal primer.. and patched the holes.. .. well, Most of them..
also got the gunky board out of the rear section..and debrided and primed there too- just not patched.. need a new plan.
Sprayed all black-funk places I cound find with concrobium (?) a pro-type mold killer.
Then primed the good floor part with Kilz for good measure.
Thinking I may “float” my lino. And just tag down the edges under some sort of ‘baseboard’ as this will allow for some hot/cold flex.. and MUCH easier replacement if ever needed. And.. besides.. I am still a little traumatized by that whole white-water floor in the old trailer.. lolol
Worked out the logistics - mostly - of the vent install.. my only worry is what might be behind the ceiling. Don’t want to drag insulation out of place with a jig saw.. so…
plan is to do the measure and template from above, drill out the corners, then use my recip saw to cut from inside First, just go through the fluff-board.. and remove carefully. Then cut the roof. And proceed as usual for install.
