I found on my 89, the rear pop out window hinge not able to compress seal enough.
Not enough range to adjust. I had to ream out the screw holes so it couldnbe pushed farther in.
When I removed upper portion of hinge in order to do so,, rust underneath..

Ospho wirebrush, paint door, reattach olished ss hinge, with seal trim in between.

Sometimes rain still gets between door seal and door frame. D3p3nds on wind direction, but it pools.on floor in back.
Metro rubber sells.new seals. Not cheap.

Hinges might neex adjusting to ceter door in door.frame to compress seal evenly.
