When you go to any part of Mexico, be sure to separate your cash, just in case you get tapped by the drug cartel 'soldiers' for a travel tax. You don't want them to get all of it.

Everything I'm reading the local cops are getting very brazen about shaking down gringos.

It’s nothing new. I read about an RV Park in Baja that meets you at the border and escorts you to their park. I think it was $500 a month on the beach. I’ll have to look for it again, it sounded lovely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm still in caring for family and friends mode, so I'll be spending the winter in frigid Minnesota. Some day I'll be free to travel at will again, but family and friends always come before myself. I feel blessed to have the ability to help them in their time of need.

The ebb and flow of life... I thought I would be in AZ by mid-January. As it looks today, I'll meet up with some of you at Cammalu and GotSmart's, then head over to my sister's for a girls week with sister and bestie. After that, I return home to the 'ranch hand' who will then leave and do a work gig in Hawaii. ho hum... Hawaii in the winter, I'm a tad jealous. October has two week-long trips before settling down for a winter in Ohio. This year may be made up of a lot of week-long trips here and there in the OH, PA, KY and IN area.
Smile, laugh, it's free and makes others wonder what you are up too

Stayed a couple days in the Blue Ridge mtns. ...then, Made it to Douglasville, GA. Staying with a friend till the 14th...then meeting a guy that wants to travel west together.
I sure hope it cools down for the trip I didn’t leave my friend in Wilmington, NC because of Florence...but still feel guilty that I am not there to help “batten down the hatches”. Looks like she is in for a real hurt.
