I had a snocat that seated 5 with cargo area on top & rear, 36" tracks would go anywhere. The pons had drifted over with snow & I fell in, water pouring in & at a pretty sharp downward angle but put her in reverse & she walked right out. Fun toy for a whole lot less.

I've had that happen also & used to buy small plane projects, unfinished kits, etc to pay for my flying, I always flew antiques. Coming home from Missouri I was pulled over 3 times just because the officer wanted to see what I was hauling. I was loading it when the space shuttle exploded. Just sold the hotrod amfib floatplane project I was building when I broke my back & 12 antique Lycoming O-145 spare engines I collected & never needed a single part with 2 planes that I flew about 800 hours total in. I had the sister ship to the one Buddy Holly died in, a 1st year 1947 Beechcraft Bonanza Vtail 35, about 20 serial #s away from the one he died in. Easiest plane I've ever flown. I'm down to a powered parachute with 37 actual hours & may sell that. I had planned to take it on the road with me.

Sorry I just saw this & yes you can learn in 1/2 a day. The one I have has full suspention, electric start & 37 actual hrs run time. It's an ultralight so no license needed. Fit's in a small space to haul or store. I hate to part with it but my mobility is failing fast. I also have ski's for it. With the chute not deployed you have a 52HP go cart that goes very fast, you could say it flys

As far as half tracks go that wouid be easy, just have an outer wheel of some king to bolt on the rear wheel to get it out beyond the fender, make a set of tracks with industrial belting & have a set on idler wheels behind the vehicle & a way to tighten them. They did it 80 years ago on Ford tractors
