Its just to far gone to fix. All of the plastic has turned yellow and there are to many broken parts
to make it worth trying to fix. Its going to be much easier to just replace it.

I will also be replacing the bathroom fan, its not working either.

I feel your pain. My 95 Roadtrek was in similar shape when I bought it last fall. I've spent all winter fixing and cleaning. Yesterday was one hour curled up on the floor scrubbing the fridge. That was a gross job.

Your Xplorer looks terrific.

Thanks

Yes, the fridge in my Xplorer is very nasty as well, it will be
one of the last things that gets cleaned. If I can find a good deal on a new fridge I might just replace it.

Its not hard to keep an rv clean on the inside,

Congrats on the new RV! I love this size. I like cleaning up used vehicles and making them my own.  Heck, even if I bought one that was spotless, i'd probably still give it a good top to bottom cleaning.

Trust me, it's  not just RV's that people live in dirty.......I've been in thousands of houses over the years doing insurance claims and a much larger portion of people than I would expect live in complete disarray. About 1 out of every 4 in my experience.  I've left houses covered in fleas, lice, mites, etc.  Lots with mice and/or cockroach infestations.  And the people living in them are completely oblivious there is a problem.

But their castle is their castle, if that doesn't bother them I guess that's their decision to make.

That’s a nice rig. Is that called a Class B Motorhome?  I have a short bus and a cargo van currently. I have a debate going with my older brother. He likes stock vehicles and to fix them up nicely to original. I like custom vehicles and more steam punk form follows function design. But there is something satisfying about a good deep cleaning. School buses have candy wrappers stuck in every crack.

Yes, it is a class b rv. Its a 1999 Dodge Xplorer, and they are hard to find. They start with a stock one ton dodge
van, it is split down the middle and widened ten inches, Then they add a one piece raised roof/rear extension to make the van four feet longer than a regular one ton van, then dual rear wheels are added in the rear, along with factory rear air shocks to adjust for the added weight when loaded for a trip. It has a wet bath (bathroom/shower) together,
a large rear bed, and lots of storage.
