Well, ballenxj invited me over quite a while ago but I've had to deal with a few things lately concerning my health. That has turned out OK, so now I'm good to go. Now it's time for an intro on Gary's new forum. I never did do an intro over on CRVL years ago, just jumped right in. Oh well.
Anyway, I'm a divorced man in my mid-60s and have been a full-time van dweller at several different times in my life since the 1970's. For the past 3 years I've lived in S&B and was all set to hit the road when my lease was up on Sept.30 and head to South Dakota for residency, mail, etc. before it got too cold up there. Then the doc I see for my liver decided he needed to do some extra testing on me. They couldn't get that scheduled until last week but now it's done and everything is fine...yay!
My landlord bent the company rules a little and let me go month-to-month so now the plan is to leave about mid-November. Last month I bought a '93 Ford E150 and I've been working on it to get it ready to tow a cargo trailer to New Mexico where I plan to spend the winter at the state parks near Truth or Consequences. Don't know if I will make it to the RTR but if it gets too frigging cold in NM, I'll be needing to head further west for sure.
I'm looking forward to enjoying this cool forum (thanks Gary) and maybe meeting some folks down the road sometime.
Bye,
Ian
