I'm Linda (when there's another Linda nearby, I'm Linda Jo) . . .  there are frequently other Lindas. The year I was born Linda was the most common girl's name, tied with Mary.

After what seemed like a long wait I bought my van less than a month ago... maybe three weeks ago now. I'm still working on the floor installation. When the floor happens I will load the van with camping equipment and drive south to the small town in Northern California I used to live in... in the Klamath River Valley... where I'll visit friends and family for a few weeks. Then I'll come back to North Idaho to ponder over the work ahead - getting rid of almost everything I own so I can be a full-time vandweller by the end of the year.

I worked in Klamath California and traveled the Yurok reservation extensively. Where in the Klamath Valley are you going?

@Wabbit - nice to meet you... in case we haven't met before. Thanks - yes, I hope it is a good trip. It is going to be the maiden voyage and I'm hoping for good experiences. Plus, I'm just homesick and want to go home and sit next to the river again.

@Queen - yes, I'd like to be part of the women's forum - thanks for telling me about it.

@Abnorm - maybe we have matching vans? What color is yours?

@Blanch - I'll be going home to Happy Camp... a bit upriver from Klamath, CA... Yuroks are the downriver people and where I'll be there are Karuks, the upriver people. Their community center is in Happy Camp. I've been away nearly 6 years and it is wearing on me. Lots more to say about that. I could sit here and write about Happy Camp all day long.

@Cammalu - I hope to be in Arizona next winter... and hope to meet you then.

@GypsyDogs - Thanks for the welcome... I like cashews and hazelnuts - do you have any of those here?
