She still has the bassetthound eye look today when just resting in.the 90f heat, but mention the word ball, her head lifts and eyes look perfect.

She gained 0.5 lbs.since her last visit, i comfort.fooded her, and minimally exercised, but she is stilll 1.5.lbs down from 2.months ago. 4.to.5 to go.

I likely left Florida above 215 lbs in late march, , now at 189, according to.scale.at vets.

The vet reminded me that cytopoint is awesome at reducing the itchy s ratchies, but does not treat the root.of tha allergy.
Ive never foiund any correlation as.to what in flamed the allergy.

Vet said his dog the same, and he's given up,.as whatever is the root.is.likely a variable that cant be changed, like human dander or just socal desert dust.

While.we got.a.few.fat drols.of rain from monsoonal moisture that made.it.over.mountains, the land is more.parched than ever...
Perhaps.5he dust, and her desire to lay in dirt, vs carxboard or the 5 other options i give her, is a.contributing factor.

Anyway, she's on the mend.
Not scratching, goofy lovable, smart and sweet, with her puffy fluffy pom pom feet.

A.single grunt awakens me at 6:30am.
After a second grunt

"What", i say
Sigh. A paw.taps the pop out door window above bed where she sleeps.
I raise the curtain, open the window and.snout instantly out, sucking in the scents.
I fall back asleep.

Some.time.later, grunt, and a tap.on the shoulder. I pretend.to ignore.it.
TAP, TAP!!
What?
Grunt.
Wanna go outside,?
Ears.lift.
Want.to.go.for a.walk?
Gets up instantly, shakes, launches off.bed, and waits by door.

Damn these.infernal riddles!

I dress, put on her harness, and leash and out we go.
Weird tropical high clouds passing overhead. A very distant crow flies by, and it gets a good barking at. Once out of view, she stops, shakes again, looks up at me with that goofy heart melting grin, and continues on grunting and snorting past.the property with 3 dogs who never get walked.
Tail high, proud and happy with a bounce in her step.

She's back.

All of a sudden it was worth every penny. Perhaps she needs doggles?

First time the news mentioned tropical storm Fiona, her ears lifted and she looked at Tv, but not once since.
