I’m glad to see the owner and mods building the various subforums so that if I have a specific question or need for information, I can look up Electricals, Mechanicals, Insulation, Heat and Cooling, Cooking, all those that the “other” forum had.
I’d like there to be stickies that are general enough so as to allow for differences in opinion (like basics on solar power for a vehicle as opposed to “you must have a MPPT controller and 600 watts of monocrystaline panels” type statements. Those are for back and forth “jousting” in threads...
Anyway, hopefully our members will adopt a section and post up for consideration some stickie type information that the mods can decide if they like it enough to make it a stickie. If so this would save newbies search angst and save members from typing out or pasting the same replies over and over and over again... sorry but I am not a sniveling snowflake who is too lazy to read a forum thread or search before posting my plaintive dumb ass question!
I was taken to task but the other forum owner himself when I had the gall to suggest to the 10th stupid and nitro question n a row that the OP should take an hour to read up first... I was told that some posters are in such a delicate state that it is all they can do to type out 2 words, “help me” and we should tenderly hold their wittle hand during this crisis... (yeah right, somehow I forgot to do that in Army Basic Training in 1973 with my drill sgts... waaaa, poor little snowflake!)
