Thinking of some changes

changing vehicle discussion to vehicles with vehicle discussion(for everything)mech problem and builds/mods in it
and make yarc it's own section

what do you think? anything you want changed/added? think we should break away from being a crvl how to clone and a little more on the sociable side? 

and dont give me the"it's your site do whatever" crap,i'm not that smart,i need feedback

We haven't actually seen a lot of people here talking about their hobbies.  So I'm not sure what the point would be?  Certainly, if we started having a ton of posts on that subject, it would be worth considering. 

Maybe it's just me, but if I look at a forum, and see a whole bunch of topics - say, a hobby section with separate sub sections for photography, metal detecting, amateur radio, etc, etc. etc. - and most of those sub sections have 0 posts in them, or at best 1 or 2, I tend to think "Man, nobody hangs out here.  No point in wasting my time here."

 I HAVE MORE THAN ONE HOBBY OR CRAFT I'M INTERESTED IN.  SOME I'M NOT WORKING IN RIGHT NOW HOWEVER I INTEND TO GET BACK TO THEM.   I LIKE TO LEARN HOW TO DO NEW THINGS TOO.  IT ALWAYS SEEMS EASIER FOR ME TO LEARN FROM OTHERS WITH A PARTICULAR SKILL THAN FROM THE WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS.

Honestly if you want to grow the forum aspect of the Vandwellers then a subsection of other topic would do nicely. You'd have to ask members opinions. It would be nice to have a one place fits all. Like a type of social forum where members can congregate to for topics as well as van life. maybe just get online in if you have time and just checkout what other forums have just to get an idea.

who knows, all i know is that there is much potential for this group to grow, you just have to find the right direction to take it to.

You could break YARC out into it's own forum and then lock it down so no other threads could be posted in that forum.  It would then be a single post forum.

Anna, I thought the CHIT CHAT and OFF TOPIC forum served that purpose.  Maybe we could rename it?  I'm on one outdoor type forum where the general discussion and off topic area is called THE BONFIRE.  As in, sitting around the fire and shootin the chit.

Maybe, in honor of ANNA, we could rename it THE PUB?
