Ramen
#1
Love em or hate em. They are a staple.
I like real ramen with Thai peppers and shrimp.
I always have a case or so of the cheap ones.
What do you do to jazz up ramen?
I add hot sauce, soy sauce, frozen or leftover fresh veggies, leftover meats and gravies....

Ah, Ramen. Smile One of my favorites is I cook the chicken flavored noodles, mix the flavor packet in, then dump a small can of tuna, juice and all in. Stir well, and enjoy.
Also works well with chopped up hot dogs.
I've used the same recipe substituting rice for Ramen. Also pretty good.
The Captain and Crew Finally got their stuff together.
Now if they can only remember where they put it.   Rolleyes

I found a whole jar of the mystery powder that is chicken ramen flavoring at a thrift store about a month ago. Oh the salty yum yums I can make Smile

Some of us HAVE to watch sodium intake.
I'm not lost. I'm exploring.

I throw the flavor packet away and season with Shriracha, chipotle Chalula, salt and pepper.

Or pineapple and bacon.

Or sausage with a dollop of sour cream.

That stuff is a white canvas.

Indeed, a canvas it is.
I probably should watch my sodium as well....

I toss the enclosed packet, and replace it with a couple of teaspoons of Organic Low-Sodium Chicken Better Than Bouillon (about $7 for the 2-cup jar at Costco), and some home-canned meat. It comes in an 8-oz jar at most other grocery stores, but it costs more. Quick hot soup. Or add stir-fried meat and veg to it. Mmmmmm......
