Sealing Marker Lig
#1
Since I have this extra time to sit at the table with the heater aimed at me and nothing to do, I asked one of the maintenance men to check my marker lights. Two burned out and rusted out inside so I am going to replace all of them.

What is best to seal the things? I know silicone is out but what do you all recommend? I’m not doing the work, just supplying the parts...and staying warm.

When I replaced the lights on the front of my rv, I used a layer of butyl tape on the back of the lights, and once they were
screwed into place I sealed around them with Dicor.

My lights didn`t come with a gasket, and I wouldn`t have used it anyway.
The gaskets break down in a short time and cause leaks.

That’s exactly how they installed mine. I haven’t checked them out at night yet but the LED’s should look nice
