Carpet Concept - Reflectix is Worthless

Reflectix has a specific use.  It is designed to be stapled to attic rafters with an air gap between the shiny side and the heat source.  It is a cheaper alternative to insulation batting.  

I have a couple pieces cut to fit inside the windshield.  10 inch cut out notches for the rear view mirror.  It rolls up nice to put out of the way.

reflectix does just that,reflects,has minor insulating value but is made to reflect

carpet is just crap,sucks up every bit of moisture,holds smells,i pulled every bit of it i could out,just get proper insulation,home depot has pallets of the stuff and it doesnt cost that much so the return on your investment happens quick and you will end up with a far better result
