You can make friends with those raccoons. The opossums are a bit more sketchy.

Back when I lived in the house and fed the night critters on the porch I found I could sneak out there and pet the possums if I was very careful. As soon as they started smiling at me I’d quit.

With the raccoons I could open the door and they wouldn’t run even though I was a few feet from them. They didn’t want me to cross the threshold however.

Now that I’m in the RV and feeding out in the yard I think I could easily sit out there and most of the raccoons wouldn’t run. I open my window and they come running towards me hoping to get a peanut or marshmallow.

I took this a few days ago outside my window. He has a marshmallow
