Are the lifeguards gone yet, so we can go play on the beach?

I have Spottie, my 5.5 year old great dane. He has spent a lot of time with me in my van in the past. I often used to take him to work with me when I worked night shift in the streets of Los Angeles. He loves to go places in the van.

As I shared last month on my build thread, I finally let him hop in the van and check out the improvements, and he seemed to approve. He didn't want to come out, in fact!

Since then, one morning he woke up and it was like his hind legs were drunk. He doesn't seem to be in pain at all. I took him to his vet and she said she suspects a spinal injury. I told her that his spine was injured due to mistreatment by my moms husbands son while nobody was around. I was at work. That was 4 years ago.

Anyway, Spottie got some kind of super shot and is taking pills. He will probably be going back to the vet in a week for ex-rays and other stuff. I have to walk him to the vet as he can't seem to jump into the van, even when parked at the curb. Lucky I only live two blocks from the vet.

I plan to make some kind of portable ramp for him to get into the van. I can't imagine going van camping without him.

So sad about your dog. They do make ramps for exactly that if you don’t want to make your own.

Cello...Try giving him some of that CBD Oil. Put in a piece of cheese or other snack. It is totally safe for dogs. They even sell it in pet treat form.  Hope the best for your "lil puppy" my friend.

I had to look up CBD (https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/317221.php). I'll keep that in mind if I or my cat ever need it!

There are two types Xan...One has THC in it...the other does not. The one with no THC is legal in all 50 States. I myself, my family, and many of my friends take the CBD w/o THC.  It has helped them tremendously. I will not go into detail here. But if you decide to want more info feel free to PM me. I have done much research on it and found the best quality brand among the 100's available.   David

Sure hope your fur baby improves. I love my two more than most people.

It always amazes me how cruel some people are. Hurting an animal is just wrong. Hopefully karma is looking for the guy who did it.
