Geocell Pro Flex in the can for flat areas or in the tube for not so flat
is what works for me...
Actually I use the brush on in the can stuff all the time (I'm not too concerned about runs)
Just don't use silicone !!!!!!
In a pinch just use putty tape.
stay tuned
  Cool

Dicor is worth buying the first time.  sped the couple extra dollars so you only have to do it once.
Compared to parenting, Cat herding is less complicated

When I started on my van,  Dodgy  The engine was not even mounted.  Big Grin

Take your time and do each repair separately. One at a time and soon you will be on the road. I miss those days when I could work on the engine.

What one is in there? The 318 or the 360?

Lexel. It is an amazing sealer. Remains flexible and won’t crack. You can put a new bead on the old Lexel if you ever need to

But...to ever take it completely off is a real pain

You can buy it at any hardware store except Home Depot
1989 Honeywell motorhome
Ford E350 chassis.  460 engine

I had a 1969 318 in my 91B250. Cool I have an album filled with engine pictures. All so I could it it back together.

So far my favorite engine because it was easy to work on. Parts are cheap. If you have motor questions feel free to ask.
