Now just waiting on the last part of the house battery re-retrofit.. lol
Chose a 75ah agm, which has ‘real’ auto style top posts (not a fan of those tab top batteries..), and should fit well with a bit of headroom. It is rated for being a starter/cycling battery and the genny should only tap 1/3-1/2 of its rated cca. Plus it should be excellent aux power during the genny start main power-down.
This coming week/weekend will include installing the main house power-down ‘switch’ (inline resettable breaker) and cromping on some battery lugs.. (hey, autoparts store guys- can y’all loan me a cromper?)

I think it’s Autozone that lends out tools? Not sure about specifics, but pretty sure I saw a sign to that effect.

Most auto shops will lend tools by having you pay for them in advance (in case you don't bring it back). Money refunded upon return of the tool.

Will take time, but the results will be worth it.
Get the hood repainted, and touch up the rear door, and he’ll look almost new- lol

I think I just had a brilliant idea... check me on this..
So, re-install the alternator charge to the original house battery (ohb) location.
Remove ohb from the house system (using solar maintained lifepo only to power house)
Use alternator maintained ohb to start the generator.
Retain generator to converter charge for lifepo as a backup.
Also considering a deadman/aircraft switch style jumper, bypassing isolator in engine bay, to use ohb as 2ndary jumping battery. Had this on my old red truck- was an awesome feature.
What do you guys think?????
