What are you sewing? I like my Janome. I’ve got five quilt tops finished that I need to quilt.

I’m back in beaver dam now and going to try to make the shed into a sewing room.

Started with the curtains for the van.. (and it’s a Bernina)
Conveniently, a friend from years ago- was a coworker in my old job.. owed me some money, and he wants to pay me back. So this will pay off the sewing machine Smile
Machine is mechanical too- so can go on the road and run off my Bluetti without a problem. (I checked!)
So I can work on projects and maybe make occasional cash on the side.

Designed my bed frame. So now I need to build it. Also found a temporary kitchenette solution (they just don’t have the resale resources here like they did in Oregon.. sadly) that can be taken apart and repurposed to other storage later if I find something better. A couple double cubes that I can lay a board across and put 2 water tanks under. (Blue/Gray)

So I have things to do these next few days.. Wink

Yeah , I don't think I have many more builds left in me either !
This one isn't done yet and never took it out for more than 100 mi. so......

Git'er on the road and we'll find out applies to both rigs .

Looking back , even with all the breakdowns.
I by far prefer this travel mode over the airline/car and hotel , amtrakk , greyhind approach..plus met some great people,, that drive tow trucks ! arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Kitchenette in the works.. found a slab of wood super cheep (not pine!) and sanded it and put several coats of walnut dutch-oil on it.  Going rudimentary for now- can’t seem to find a good base unit around here. (desk or dresser or) So got a couple double-cube cubbies and spanned them with a nice board.. kind of like a tiny desk.  Haven’t gotten the baseboard area done yet.. but it’s a start. (and the cubbies can always be re-used elsewhere later, if I do fine the right kitchen furniture.

And it can actually double as a desk Smile

But I enjoy contacting random companies and shaming them into doing the right thing in ways that make them think.

I got my daughter a new engine in her two year old car along with a free rental that she put 1,000 miles on in a week.

It all came down to asking the right question.

Huh
